Carson

In Los Angeles county lies the city of Carson. According to the 2010 Census the population was 91,714. It’s located just 13 miles from downtown LA, and is known as one of the suburbs of Los Angeles. The airport (LAX) is nearly 14 miles from the city. The city of Carson is one of the youngest municipality in the South Bay area.

The city is around 19 square miles. Carson is bordered by Compton on the NE, Long Beach on the East, Wilmington on the south, West Carson and Harbor Gateway on the west, and West Compton on the north.

California State Universtiy has an extension in Carson, as well as the city is home to the Home Depot Center (soccer specific stadium).
