Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is one of the most well known cities in California.

It is a seaside city in Orange County, and according to the 2010 census, the population of Huntington City is 189,992. It is the second largest populated cities in Orange County. It is bordered by the Pacific Ocean on the SW and Seal Beach on the NW. Costa Mesa on the east of the city, as well as Westminster on the North, Fountain Valley on the NE, and Newport Beach on the south east of Huntington Beach.

The city has a large 8.5 mile long beach, great mild climate and excellent surfing. The waves in Huntington area unique because of the edge-diffraction of ocean swells by the islands of Catalina, and waves from distant hurricanes.

Every summer the city is home to world surfing championships, and is known as “Surf City” by some. It’s also known as the “Surfing Capital of the World,” for the quality of the surf there.
